Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: We like your photography. What do we do now? Can we meet?

Simply ring me or email me. My contact details here. Weddings do get booked well in advance, especially Fridays and Saturdays over the summer, so the sooner you contact me, the more likely I am to be free. I would love to meet you and talk about it. I'm very flexible and understand that people have busy lives so I don't mind meeting in the evenings or on weekends if that helps.

Q2: If we choose you as our wedding photographer, can we meet once more before the wedding?

I would love to! I think it's very important for us to meet once more. We could meet at the wedding ceremony or reception venue. This gives us last chance to talk about all details of your wedding.

Q3: When and how is our booking confirmed?

Your wedding day photography will be booked on receipt of a £200 deposit and signing the contract.

Q4: Why do we need to sign a contract? What's in it?

Wedding contract is there to protect all parties. It covers items such as Copyright, Model Releases, Guest Photography and Final Delivery. All professional wedding photographers will require you to sign a contract. It's just a standard procedure.

Q5: How would you describe your photographic style?

I'm capturing natural moments that truly document events as they unfold. This is the reportage or photo journalistic style.

Q6: We'd like some formal portraits / group shots with family and friends - will you take these?

Yes of course I will. Its your day and a shot list will be tailored to you, to include any formal portraits and specific ideas you may have. I think these are expected by most couples. However I prefer to keep these to about 20 minutes or so, normally straight after the ceremony. It is helpful if you provide a list of required posed shots prior to your wedding. But it's not a problem if you want to take more posed pictures.

Q7: Will you photograph formal portraits of just two of us?

Of course! Best time for this is whilst travelling between wedding venues. I often travel with the bride and groom from the ceremony to reception venue to give us the opportunity to stop off somewhere and spend 20 minutes or so taking pictures just of you both.

Q8: We want to book you, but will only need you for a few hours. Are you flexible with this?

Yes I am. I have half day package. Check my packages here. This package applies to smaller weddings too. Usually it's up to 5 hours.

Q9: Our wedding is outside Sheffield. Which areas do you cover?

I will consider any area so get in touch to discuss. If venue is less than 1 hour drive from Sheffield no additional expenses will be charged (FULL Day package only). All expenses and potential expenses will be made clear to you at the time of booking if known.

Q10: We have paid our deposit, when balance is due?

No later than 4 weeks before the wedding.

Q11: How long after our wedding can we expect to see our photographs?

   In 2 - 4 weeks time.
